Updated: Jun 22, 2025

Before co-founding Edmonds + Lee Architects, Robert Edmonds held key roles at several nationally recognized architecture firms, where he led design efforts on a range of high-profile institutional and cultural projects. His portfolio includes contributions to major museum commissions such as the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, each reinforcing his reputation for design excellence and technical expertise at the highest level.

Robert’s multidisciplinary experience across scales and building types has shaped his holistic approach to architecture. By drawing on methods and design strategies from one typology and applying them to another, he brings a cross-pollinated, inventive perspective to every project. His work is marked by intellectual curiosity, formal clarity, and a deep sensitivity to context.
