Aaron Rodriguez, co-founder of Visionkit Studio in Garden City, Idaho, has significantly impacted Boises creative landscape through his dedication to visual storytelling and community engagement. A Boise native, Rodriguez’s journey into the arts was marked by nothing short of perseverance and a passion for photography.

After exploring various academic paths, including landscape architecture and music, Rodriguez discovered his true calling in photography at Boise State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photography in 2017. His early career included a pivotal role at Scentsy, a fragrance company in Meridian, Idaho, where he honed his skills and built a professional network.


In 2020, Rodriguez co-founded Visionkit Studio with Matt Wordell. The studio specializes in still photography, motion video, and creative direction, emphasizing collaboration by inviting clients to co-create visual narratives. Under Rodriguez's creative leadership, Visionkit has developed an impressive portfolio, working with clients such as Fuji, Tumbleweed Bikes, Treefort Music Festival, St. Luke’s Health Center, Aquaculture Stewardship Council, Visit Boise, Duft Watterson, and Kin Boise.

Beyond commercial success, Rodriguez is committed to community engagement. He co-founded the Garden City Placemaking Fund, an initiative that creates opportunities for public art and creative placemaking in the Treasure Valley. This fund has sponsored murals by local artists and hosted workshops to educate the public about mural art, contributing to the area's cultural vibrancy.

Rodriguez's dedication to fostering the local creative ecosystem extends to mentoring emerging artists. Visionkit has hired interns from Boise State University, providing them with real-world experience and guidance. This commitment to nurturing talent reflects Rodriguez's belief in paying forward the opportunities he has received.
